(Mist proposed to smile today)
(So as wind proposed to dance)

National Tape recorder with Radio.

Sound waves of these words were generated from the vintage “National” tape recorder and emerging out of the speakers. It slowly broke through my blanket and reached my ears. I was cuddling myself covering fully with the blanket to resist any kind of sounds disturbing my morning sleep. Those Vividha Bharathi songs were played every morning by my mom during 90s. Even though music was soothing it used annoy and always made me to wake up with a longing face to sleep more and more.

Today, when I walk around the fog filled pathways in coorg or any hill stations, the cool breeze blowing out of those lush green landscape caresses over me and a very ‘peaceful smile’ emerges. For an instant, I rest all the my worries and any kind of thoughts. It makes me to slowly close my eyes and evokes back to 30years. The same melodious song whispers in my ears “ನಗು ಎಂದಿದೆ ಮಂಜಿನ ಬಿಂದು, ನಲಿ ಎಂದಿದೆ ಗಾಳಿ ಇಂದು”.

Greater Racket-Tailed Drongo

My photography album is generally filled with birds. I wander holding the large lens with camera inside the woods trying to capture different bird species. I try to linger there for more hours hoping for a sight of new unseen bird. And I get to see commonly known birds making me disappointed. With a saddened face, I put few steps to return back to home. Suddenly, I heard a new chirping sound around me. As I see a Greater Racket tailed drongo, there emerged a ‘happy smile’. I captured few actions of this bird with a big smile on my face and the happiness made me to close my eyes for a moment. I heard the same sound waves of the song continuing

(Come along says the chirping Birds)
(Let’s fly high together)

Back to back calls with my bosses on getting presentations ready for a client meeting scheduled almost everyday which made to bring the best of what I had in me. I worked continuously from the time sun came out and moon started his duty. Moon’s sarcastic smile questioned me that “Even sun has gone home to sleep and why are you staring at those blue screens?”. I replied with a smile of silence and continued to work. It repeated for three-to-four months from the day uninvited guest has acquired all over the world and made us to work from home. I was tired! I was exhausted and couldn’t work more. Leaned on my keyboard and closed my eyes and there I heard alexa playing the song.

(Exhausted flying more)
(In need of Love)
(I am wishing and willing)
(Now I see you my Love)

Portrait sketch of my wife.

There comes my wife Divya. Held my hand and kissed my forehead. Hugging me and she said “Don’t worry, I love you”. I closed my eyes forgetting all the worries and there emerged the relaxing smile on my face.

In the background alexa continued with these waves…

(This is the vibration of smile)

There are many moments in life which needs to be cherished. These will build up the reasons to smile. Live life in those moments of happiness.

Do not go in search for the reasons to smile. Leave it to Nature. Live in Nature.
